Corrections.
When we publish a wrong number, we say so here, in public, with a date. This log is append-only: nothing gets quietly removed once it is on the page, and a correction that turns out to be wrong gets a second entry rather than an edit.
The policy
Silent edits are what make a publication untrustworthy, because they make it impossible to know whether what you read last month was ever different. So we log the error, quote what it said before, and explain how it got through.
We log corrections whether or not anyone noticed. A correction log that only contains the mistakes we got caught on is a complaints log, which is a different and much less useful thing.
Typos and broken layouts are just fixed. What lands here is anything that could have led you to a wrong decision: a wrong figure, a wrong threshold, a wrong description of how something works, or a claim we could not support. The full standard is in our editorial guidelines.
The log is empty
We have not published a correction yet. That is a statement about this log's age, not about our infallibility — the trust pages and glossary went live on July 31, 2026, and the clock starts there.
Found something wrong?
Performance thresholds move and terms get retired. If something here is out of date or plain wrong, tell us — it gets fixed and it gets logged on this page with your name on it if you want the credit.
